He is only 18-year-old old, but Justin Bieber is rapidly getting his body covered in ink, The teenage singing sensation appears to have added to his collection by getting a tattoo of an owl The pop star posted a picture of his arm on Instagram over the weekend, seemingly debuting the design.

Done in black and grey ink, the etching of the bird is quite big, covering a large mass of his forearm Justin accompanied the image with the caption: 'Befo the paps get me.' While he is prone to pranks, the arm in the picture certainly appears to be of the singer's - his 'Believe' tattoo also visible in the snap. This is the second tattoo Justin has obtained in a matter of weeks. At the start of last month he revealed a crown design on his upper chest on the right side on his Twitter page, before explaining the reasons behind the etching.

He tweeted: 'New tattoo its a crown if you couldn't tell.'

In the picture, Justin is seen going shirtless to show off the new design, reclining on his bed.

Justin has already amassed quite a collection of inkings, despite his tender age. The teenager debuted a tattoo on his right arm - the Japanese Kanji symbol for music in July. He also has the word Believe tattoo inked on his left arm, and in March had a praying hand inking etched onto his leg, which is thought to represent the power of prayer and the Almighty.

Justin underwent his first inking of a bird on his hip at the tender age of 16, and followed it with the Hebrew word for Jesus on his ribcage when he and his dad opted to get matching tattoos during a trip to Israel.

Continuing with his collection of religious tattoos, the Canadian singer later had an image of Jesus etched onto his left leg.

Cheryl Cole tattoo collection with huge

Pop star Cheryl Cole is finished with tattoos after having a huge rose design inked onto her back over a painful two-day period.

The Fight For This Love hitmaker stunned fans on the opening night of the Girls Aloud comeback tour in Newcastle on Thursday night when she showed off the massive inking on the small of her back.

The design, two red roses in bloom, was completed after 15 hours in the tattooist's chair over an agonising two days last year, and Cole admits her latest body art will probably be her last.

She tells The Sun, "It was really painful but I think I'm done with tattoos now. It wasn't for any particular reason, I just liked the design. It took 15 hours in total.

"I actually got it five months ago - but it's somewhere on my body you wouldn't expect people to see it very often. It was done by this amazing artist called Nikko Hurtado who basically travels round the world going to conventions."

The star boasts a number of tattoos, including a Polynesian tribal symbol on her hand and barbed wire around her thigh.

Tattoos are slowly being more accepted in society thanks to celebrities. Thanks to the increase of movies, T.V shows, books and magazines that cover the tattoo culture and the industry, tattoos are being embraced with more naturalism instead of the taboo that it once was. But they say that the man responsible for the crazed tattoo trend among celebrities started because of a man called Lyle Tuttle. To those of you who don’t know him, Lyle Tuttle is a tattoo artist born and raised in California. Currently 81 years old, he retired from the world of tattooing in the year 1990, but during his active years (from 1945 to 1990), he tattooed a big number of celebrities, and the one who started it all: Janis Joplin.

The acceptance of tattoos as a form of art started by the work of Lyle Tuttle on Janis Joplin. He did a small wristlet and a heart close to her breast, and at this moment celebrities started to get hooked with tattoos. Lyle went on and tattooed other famous celebrities, such as Cher, Jane Fonda, and Paul Stanley, just to name a few.

The adoption of tattoos among celebrities helped put tattoos into the spotlight: T.V Shows, clothing lines, books, magazines, and many other publications started to shift into the tattoo world and its culture, giving celebrities a chance to express their views and thoughts on tattoos, and also sharing their pieces with their audience.

Today, tattoos are not only limited to recording artists, musicians and rappers. Actors and actresses everywhere have sat down and spent hours of work on their own pieces. Angelina Jolie was one of the first women to show off her ink in red carpet events, and slowly more and more followed.

Tattoo fans and enthusiasts have decorated their bodies with incredible pieces of art, some even of their own idols, and as every day more and more people are getting tattooed, hopefully one day all the discrimination and laws and rules against them in work places and companies will stop, as they’re a form of art and an expression of what we love and cherish.
